Janet Schijns (pronounced “shines”) is Vice President of Verizon Solutions and Sales Channels with executive leadership responsibility for growing the small-medium business and state-local government markets through a ‘right customer, right channel, right product’ distribution strategy.  Schijns also leads and governs the award winning Verizon Partner Program (VPP) across all Verizon business and enterprise channels which she was also responsible for launching. 

Previously, Schijns served as Vice President, Global Channels, at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, responsible for overseeing Verizon’s indirect enterprise distribution channels – partners, value-added resellers and systems Integrators – across the U.S., EMEA, the Asia-Pacific region and Latin America.

Schijns joined Verizon in 2010 to apply her extensive experience of linking market needs, business strategy and technology solutions to the development of market leading solutions primarily focused on launching Verizon’s IoT business. During her tenure she increased connected devices by three-fold. Additionally, she served as Vice President of Global Marketing, where she represented more than 50 countries; and Vice President of Segment and Product Marketing, where she led Verizon’s product platforms delivering marketing plans and programs to customers. 

As a transformational leader, Schijns’ continuing mission is to deliver the promise of the connected world via an ecosystem that expands Verizon’s ability to deliver unique solutions that reach more customers through multiple buying options and a growing suite of products and services. Schijns is one of the top 50 MarTech Influencers globally, Top 10 women in the channel, Top 20 IoT engagement leaders, and is widely acknowledged as an expert throughout the channel industry.

Prior to joining Verizon Wireless, Schijns was Vice President of Enterprise and Government Business at Motorola where she doubled indirect distribution annually.   Additionally, Schijns was Founder & CEO of The JS Group, an international consultancy firm focused on providing business-based programs for strategic growth to high-tech companies, large and small. She is also the founder of Tech World’s Half a non-profit dedicated to keeping women in technology and is the creator of the industry-recognized, award-winning Master-of-Convergence, Partner Expert, and Solutions First programs.

Schijns lives in New Jersey with her husband Roy and has two children Sean and Ashlyn.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Business from Montclair State University, is a member of the Women of the Channel Advisory Board, sits on Rutgers University's #CX board, and has been CRN’s Channel Partner Top Award Winner for the past decade.
